Are you wondering about the temperature in Sicily in May? Or if it’s going to rain? What is the weather like in Sicily in October? In this article we’re going to tell you more about the temperatures in Sicily month by month and lets find out together when is the best time to visit Sicily.
What is the best time of the year to visit Sicily?
To give you a short answer: Sicily has perfect weather all year around, making it an excellent destination in any season. However, your ideal time to visit depends on what you’re looking to do.
The Sicilian summer is usually from May to October, which means that all these 6 months of the year are rather warm and perfect for all the summer activities. April and November are both nice and warm, you might as well go swimming in the sea, but the air temperatures will be a bit lower and it can rain more often than in the summer months. December, January and February are winter months, usually with December still warm enough to go around with a light jacket and January-Febraury are colder with more rain.

I would love a book on Inside Sicily! Also….. do do you have the name of a private driver? Thank you! Katie Howard
Hi Katie, there’s “Palermo Transfer Limousine”. They have all sorts of cars, and drive everywhere in and also out of Sicily. Google their name for all the contacts.
In late November winter arrives, the temperatures will go lower and it can rain more often. But at the same time there are always some sunny days and it can be wonderful to visit the cities and towns. Don’t miss out Palermo!
We wish to fly into Catania and spend some time in Taormina and visit Syracuse. Would you suggest going directly from airport via train to Taormina first and then return to Catania or would you suggest spending time in Catania first? We only have 7 nights to do this east coast. Thank you

Going to Sicily in mid-April and wondering about how to dress. Will I be cold in a skirt with bare legs?
Is it too hot to tour in August?
It is hot, around 40 C degrees, but it’s nice by the seaside.
